Edward Henry Schatz
January 25, 1927 – May 17, 2012

Ed passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his residence May 17, 2012. He was born January 25, 1927 in Elstow, SK to Kazimer and Magdelena, one of 14 children. Ed met his wife Betty in Sheho, SK and they were married in 1949. Ed and Betty moved to Prince Albert and together raised 4 children. Ed owned and operated Reliable Painters until his retirement in 1985. In retirement he enjoyed playing cards, gardening and spending time with his family. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Betty; daughter Gwen (Barry) Pellerin and their family Kelsy (Greg) Propp, Logan, Dylan, Chloe, Cam (Karlie Kobzey), Austin; son Dale (Danella) and their family Eric and Kali; daughter Faye (Ryan Marshall) and her daughter Melissa (Larry) Paice; daughter Wendy (Dave) Birkland and their family Tyler and Carla; 2 brothers Bruno (Phyliss), John (Monica); 6 sisters Judy Robinson, Agnes Cummings, Margaret Unser, twin sisters Loreen Bornyk and Loretta Stryjek, Bernice McLean; sisters-in-law Elane Finley and Jean Schatz; brothers-in-law Jim (Mildred) Finley and Bill Watts; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his brothers Tony and Charlie; and his sisters Anne, Rose and Minnie. A private family service will be held. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
