Condolence From: Keith Blaber
Condolence: I spent many happy hours in the Minduik kitchen solving the worlds problems with Walter, while Mel seemingly floated around house doing odd chores and adding to those highlevel discussions.
I really miss you both.

Condolence: Oh, so many memories!!!!!!!! I don't think I could even pick out one to write down! I'm just glad to have had a good visit with her on Mom's last day! And as with Mel's Auntie Peg, though we mourn deeply, there are no real regrets in honoring a life well-lived.Those favorite quotes included in the obit say much about this fine lady...!!!
A cousin who remembers well...

Condolence: Our deepest sympathies go to Blaine and Donna, Dave, John and Janice, Emma and Mason.
We are remembering Auntie Mel’s warmth. She was quick with a smile and a kind word. We’re glad to have the nice memories of visits with her in Paddockwood, Christopher Lake and here in Vancouver. We’ll cherish her calls and emails just to say hello. We’ll miss her dearly.

Condolence: Thinking of you during these trying times and sending you much love. We know she is in good company in Heaven with her loved ones and her Uncle Bill, our dad. May beautiful memories of times spent with her help wash your tears away and ease your sorrows. God bless you all. Wishing you peace and love.

Condolence From: The Abram Family: Kim, Kelly, Caitlin and Jaron
Condolence: Although we can't be with you, we are all thinking about you and remembering many wonderful times with Auntie Mel and all the people who loved her. We were remembering when our family was back for the Sumners' reunion; Mason and Jaron riding that little car around Auntie Mel's farm; Cailtin and Emma playing there, too; having meals together; family pictures... I have so many memories of childhood summer trips to Saskatchewan and her voice and laughter is clear in all my memories of those visits. She was so easy to love, and we won't forget her.

Condolence: "Genuine" is the word that comes to my mind in describing Mel. Her smile and the warmth in her eyes when she talked to you will stay with me always. God certainly lent us a gem when he put Mel in our lives.
